Hey there! I’m a Gen Z traveler who takes Instagram and vlog content very seriously.
Whenever I’m in Seoul, I want to capture every sparkling moment through my camera! And street food? It’s a must-have on any Seoul vlog itinerary. For this trip, I needed the perfect base camp for my Myeongdong street food adventures—and The Plaza Hotel Seoul totally exceeded all my expectations!

Let the food tour begin: The perfect location for nonstop foodie fun!
Located right in front of City Hall in central Seoul, The Plaza Hotel was surrounded by the aroma of delicious street food from the moment I stepped outside. Since it's super close to Myeongdong, I could easily walk over to Seoul’s street food heaven anytime. Each morning, I started my day here and set off on foot to explore Seoul’s tastiest treasures.

It only takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the heart of Myeongdong. Leaving my bags safely at the hotel and heading out with just my camera made filming so convenient. By the time I got a little hungry, I was already surrounded by the mouthwatering lineup of Myeongdong’s street food carts—cue instant smile!

Vlog essential! My ultimate Myeongdong street food bucket list!
The second I arrived in Myeongdong, I couldn’t resist hitting record. Street carts lined both sides, people enjoying food right on the spot, and the vibrant energy—everything was perfect for my vlog content. Let me take you through my personal Myeongdong street food must-haves:

Hot Fishcakes & Spicy Tteokbokki
As soon as I walked into Myeongdong, I was pulled in by the spicy-sweet aroma of tteokbokki and steaming fishcakes. The bright red tteokbokki and the skewered fishcakes with piping hot broth were not only delicious but looked amazing on camera! Took a bite of the fishcake skewer, blowing on it first so I don’t burn my tongue, and wow—the broth soaked in just made my mouth feel like pure happiness. And the chewy tteokbokki was so addicting, I couldn’t stop eating. The whole eating scene made for perfect vlog content—especially the shots of me enjoying every bite!
Crispy Tornado Potato & Savory Chicken Skewers
You have to try the tornado potato! Watching it get freshly fried into a golden spiral was a show in itself. With different seasonings sprinkled on top, it was impossible to put down. The chicken skewers were grilled to juicy perfection, coated in a sweet soy glaze that made them an ideal hearty snack. I even switched to ASMR mode to capture the crispy bites for my vlog!

Unique Visuals: Egg Bread & Fruit Skewers
Korean street food isn’t just tasty— it’s photogenic too! The egg bread had a whole soft egg nestled inside warm fluffy bread—such a cozy treat. And the colorful fruit skewers, with neatly sliced fruits on a stick, were the perfect sweet finish. The vibrant colors looked so good on camera that I posted them to my Instagram Stories—and boom, instant DMs asking where I was!
The Energy of Myeongdong Streets
Just walking down Myeongdong felt like a live vlog moment. K-pop music in the background, people laughing and snacking, and the energetic street vibe made filming a joy. Of course, I stopped by a self-photo booth to take fun pics with my friend—those “life four-cuts” were the cherry on top! Editing all this later, I could really feel the buzz of Seoul come to life in my footage.

Hidden photo spots inside the hotel too! 📸
On the 18th floor of the annex, I stumbled upon The Plaza’s summer photo zone! With tropical palm trees, surfboards, and adorable robe-wearing bears, it was totally aesthetic. My friend and I had a blast taking photos and filming reels there—it had that fun, breezy summer vibe that blew up on Insta!
But wait—there’s more! Right next to the photo zone was the indoor pool, and wow. Floor-to-ceiling windows showed off Seoul’s skyline in full view. I filmed some “poolside chill” shots in my swimsuit, and the vibe was pure luxury staycation meets summer escape. The lighting was perfect for photos, and I even got some gym selfies in the mirror that looked super hip. With fitness, chill time, and views all in one. Can’t believe I was able to create such amazing content right inside the hotel. The Plaza Hotel Seoul turned out to be the perfect stay for my vlog.
